Our capability

We are a not-for-profit organisation that offers services to the global research community by fusing our extensive knowledge, skill and cutting-edge genomics and bioinformatics capabilities.

We offer a thorough application of these services to improve the scientific community's capacity for genomic research. Our ability to guide our collaborators on the systems most suited to satisfy their objectives and produce the best results for their studies is made possible by the variety of platforms and chemistries available to us.

Short-read sequencing An image of a researcher placing a flow cell into the NovaSeq6000 DNA sequencing platform.

Short-read sequencing

Using Illumina's market-leading sequencing-by-synthesis (SBS) technology, we can keep costs down while producing publication quality data. We use both high and low output platforms to meet the needs of projects of all sizes.

Long-read sequencing An image of a researcher pressing the touch-screen display on a PacBio Sequel IIe DNA sequencing instrument.

Long-read sequencing

The single-molecule real-time (SMRT) long read sequencing technology developed by PacBio produces the highest quality sequencing data. Long-reads significantly improve the performance of many downstream applications.

Single-cell sequencing An image of a researcher placing a microfluidic chip into a Chromium X high-throughput instrument

Single-cell sequencing

High-resolution analysis of biological material is made possible by microfluidic separation of individual cells or nuclei. We offer transcriptomics, immunological profiling and ATAC seq with the 10x Genomics Chromium platforms.

Library preparation An image of a researcher adding samples using a pippet for library preparation.

Library preparation

We generate sequencing libraries tried and tested techniques, tools and materials. Our seasoned and highly-trained sequence production team works industriously to deliver the best outcomes in the shortest possible time.

Quality control An image of a researcher inserting samples into a Agilent Fragment Analyzer, an automated capillary electrophoresis instrument,

Quality control

We evaluate the quality of all samples received and advise collaborators on any issues before proceeding with further work. This enables us to avoid sample drop out and ensures the best possible results.

Other laboratory services An image of a researcher behind a glass screen adding samples using a pippet.

Other laboratory services

In order to maximise the performance of samples in subsequent applications, we provide services to enhance the quality of submitted samples that do not meet our specified requirements.

Data analysis An image of a researcher looking at data on a computer screen.

Data analysis

Our expert bioinformaticians and statisticians use the latest tools and methods to deliver professional data integration and analysis, clear reports and publication quality figures.

Automation An image of a researcher holding up and inspecting a reagent tray.

Automation

We use an array of tried-and-true automated liquid handling platforms to drive costs down and accelerate project turnaround. Our team strive to implement effective and efficient automation of widely used sample preparation protocols.
